Territorial-administrative situation
1․1․ Identification elements of the production unit (property)
The forest fund that is the subject of this arrangement belongs to the “Vorțana” Vorța Composers’ Association and the Marian Argentina PF and comes from the reconstitution of the property right based on the land fund laws in UP III Gurasada, UP IV Valea Poienii, UP V Visca within the Ilia Forest District, as follows

Geographically, the forests are located in the Măgureaua Mountains of the Apuseni Carpathians, in the Mureș River basin, in the Lunga Valley (most of it) and Gurasada basins.
Phytoclimatically, the forests under study are part of FD2 - The hilly floor of oaks (of gorun, sky, gârnita, mixtures of these) and hill spruces.
1․2․ Neighborhoods, limits, borders
The forest fund is located within the territorial limits of three production units within the Ilia Forest District . It includes several forest bodies spread across the territory of these production units, so that we can only speak of neighborhoods, limits and boundaries at the level of each forest body in particular. The neighborhoods of the forest fund are specified in the property titles presented in the annexes. The boundaries are materialized on the boundary trees with paint by the owner as well as through management markers.

1․4․ Distribution of forest resources by communes (cities)
The forest fund under study is located within the Vorța Commune, Hunedoara County.
2․1․ Establishment of property
The establishment of the production unit (UP) I Vorțana was made in accordance with the specifications made at the 2nd planning conference. As a result of the reconstitution of the ownership right over forest lands based on the land law, the “Vorțana” Vorța Composite Association received from the Ilia Forest District an area of 157.43 ha: 89.10 ha from the UP IV Valea Poienii - ua: 84A, 84B, 85A, 85B, 86A, 86B, 86C, 87A, 87B% and 68.33 ha from the UP V Visca - ua: 82%, 86%, 93%, 87, 179. PF Marian Argentina received an area of 2.29 ha from the Ilia Forest District, UP III Gurasada - ua: 111A, 111B.
A large part of the area under study, 157.43 ha owned by the “Vorțana” Vorța Association of Forest Owners, (99%), was previously managed in 2011, within the UP I Vorța Forest Owners and associated individuals, the respective management expiring on August 31, 2021. It was drawn up on a total area of 163.20 ha, also including private forests of other individuals.
We consider the existence of the SMURF project to be of great importance for raising awareness among forest owners in Europe about the multifunctionality of forests and the rights of owners, as well as for building an intra-European network of forest owners.
